    [3 Oct 2019] There is considerable variations in different countries´ health care systems and professionals in the views on vaginal birth after previous caesarean section (VBAC), according to a European study. However, women¿s´ views are more similar in the different countries.

  • Davide Angeletti receives ERC Starting Grant

    [3 Sep 2019] Davide Angeletti, who has been a postdoctoral research fellow in the Institute of Biomedicine for one year, has now been awarded one of the most prestigious grants a young European researcher can receive: the ERC Starting Grant. The grant from the European Research Council gives him more than SEK 15 million for his basic research on antibodies and B cell immunological mechanisms.

  • Speech impairment and more surgery in five-year-old international adoptees with cleft palate

    [2 Sep 2019] In a group of internationally adopted children with cleft lip and/or palate, speech at age five is impaired compared to a corresponding group of children born in Sweden, a study shows. The adopted children also need more extensive surgery, which may be due to their surgical interventions taking place later in life.
